Blooms in my garden

My Painted Door garden tour - photography by Jan Whybourne

Have you ever noticed that sometimes it is the little things in life that mean the most?

I am a gardener. Or at least, I used to be a gardener. Now I have a huge area in my yard that is full of flowers that I brought from my other garden when I moved here. Other than finding a new home for my flowers, my garden is a mess. I have no cozy sitting areas and my new garden totally lacks character and charm. Time is not on my side and I can only dream of one day having a beautiful garden again.

Sometimes I am very sad about not having time to play in my garden. But for now, my priorities have changed and my little paint shop has become my new playground.

A couple of weeks ago, a wonderful friend of mine,  Jan Whybourne, arrived at my home with her camera in hand. The next day Jan sent me these photos.

My garden is far from perfect, but a great photographer like Jan could still find the beauty in it.

Indeed, it is the little things in life that mean the most. Thank you Jan!
