Dawn, my sister, Sheila, and I just got home from the Toronto Home Show. It was a wonderful trip and we met Miss Miss Mustard Seed!
Miss Mustard Seed's booth was truly beautiful! The walls, the "chalkboard" and even the floors were all painted with milk paint.
The "chalkboard wall" painted with milk paint and hand chalked by Marion was breathtaking!
Marion even brought her milk painted primitive hutch from her living room all the way to Toronto!
From every angle, Marion's booth was absolutely charming.
I am totally in love with this sign.
Every inch of the booth had neat things to look at. Marion has an amazing ability to make everything look beautiful.
Marion used some antique props to add even more charm to her booth.
The best part of the Trade Show was meeting all the people that work so hard to bring us the most amazing paint in the world! Megan (on the left) works for Homestead House and Loree (on the right) and her husband Scott (not shown) are the founders of Homestead House Paint Company. Homestead House makes Miss Mustard Seed's milk paint and they are a Canadian company!
Marion was a celebrity guest at the show and spoke about flipping furniture on the main stage.

Marion was amazing to watch on stage! She provided the crowd with some wonderful ideas and was so inspiring. By the end of the presentation my cheeks were sore because I smiled the entire time.
Marion gave us some great tips on flipping furniture and had many photos to share with the crowd. This is a before shot of one of her pieces. Scary, huh?
After her presentation, we had the honor of meeting Marion in person and she signed her new Look Book for us. Marion was absolutely delightful!
Jennylyn is the president of Homestead House Paint Company and I was thrilled to finally meet her! Jennylyn and Marion make such a wonderful team.
Once the trade show was over, we attended a two day workshop at Homestead House.
Jennylyn (standing) was a wonderful host and teacher!
There were about 12 participants in the workshop. Dawn is the smiley one on the left.
And my sister, Sheila, is the smiley one on the right.
Jennylyn shared tons of ideas with the gang. Jennylyn grew up in the family business and knows absolutely everything about milk paint. I was impressed!
Thought I would share one shot of all the girls. From the left: Sheila, me, Dawn and Jacqueline from La Vie en couleur & Decor.
We sure had a wonderful trip, but it is always nice to come home again!
