New Miss Mustard Seed's products and some really great step stools

Miss Mustard Seed's look book available at My Painted Door (.com)

I tell you, whenever Miss Mustard Seed comes out with new stuff, I am like a kid at Christmas time when the packages arrive at my shop.

This is Marion's new look book and it is amazing!

"This is so much more than just a look book … it’s over 130 pages of information, inspiration and encouragement.  As you flip through this picture-heavy “bookazine”, you’ll find before & afters, tutorials, tips and insider tricks that will make you want to grab a brush and your favourite MMSMP product, so you can start creating!"

It is look book one ... which means there are more to come! Marion is already working hard on the second book and I am anxiously awaiting it's release.

Miss Mustard Seed's colour fan deck - available at My Painted Door (.com)

I have also added Miss Mustard Seed's colour fan deck to my on-line shop. So if you are one of those folks who loves paint swatches to play around with, this one is for you.

Miss Mustard Seed's tough coat sealer - available at My Painted Door (.com)

The final addition to my shop is MMS tough coat sealer. If you have a high traffic area that you want to protect this is a wonderful product. Somehow children and sticky fingers comes to mind. Oh, and cats, like my beloved Ollie, who just won't stay off of things.

All these items are now available either on-line or in my shop. I have a wonderful shipping deal for the month of November so perhaps it is a good time to try milk paint for the first time or replenish your stock!

Speaking of my shop, many of my local customers know what a complete mess I have been in around here while renovating. Well, I finally have walls up in my shop! I have been taking photos and will share them in my next blog post. Teaser: hemp oil ROCKS on walls!

Although most of you likely know this already, Miss Mustard Seed has 6 new colours coming out in January, 2015! This is a sneak peak at the first colour in this new European line. It is called Bergere. Ain't she beautiful? Although this is Marion's European line, I will be selling it in my shop! I am so excited!

Drum roll please ... cause this gal deserves it! Recently I met a wonderful lady named Debbie Cadene from Atikokan, Ontario. Actually I have not really met her in person, but we have been chatting on the phone and through emails. Debbie and I instantly connected and I can't wait to meet in person. She lives about two hours from me so I am hoping she will stop in sometime (hint. hint.)

Debbie had never used milk paint before and called me up to ask some questions. That conversation lasted about an hour because we had so much in common. She said she was building some stools and wanted to use milk paint on them. BUILDING THE STOOLS? REALLY? This gal builds her own stuff to paint. How cool is that?

She painted this stool in Miss Mustard Seed's tricycle and used ironstone for the stripe and lettering. She then used hemp oil to finish it off.

Debbie also built this stool and painted it in Miss Mustard Seed's lucketts green.

I love the distressing she did. It is just the perfect amount.

Debbie has built an amazing toy box that she has almost finished painting. She has already emailed me a "part way done" photo and I will share it with you once she is done.

Deb - thank you so much for sharing your stools with me!
