I don't know about you guys, but I sure wish I was a one shot wonder with my camera. But photography is just not like that. Sometimes you have to keep on taking pictures and trying new ideas until you get a good shot.
Here are some bloopers from my photo shoot for Jennylyn's Tones for Tots. The lovely green paint is Little Speckled Frog, so it just made sense to use little froggy as the star.
Once again, Gillian was my photo assistant.
This little froggy looks like he is at the Olympics working the balance beam.
And this is the end of his performance and he's just too tired to move.
Little froggy also entered the hurdle event, but didn't quite make the hurdle.
Frog in the headlights ...
and squished frog.
Things were just not working yet. Then a light bulb went on in my head. Little froggy needed to be jumping! Frogs jump. That's what they do!
I yelled "Gillian! Let's MacGuyver this frog. He has to jump". Brilliant idea!
With a little bit of fishing line tied around him, this little froggy was ready to perform! (This photo is completely out of focus - you don't suddenly need glasses).
Gillian started to work it and little froggy looked quite happy.
Unfortunately little froggy misread the script and thought he was supposed to be a spider.
No matter what we did, little froggy was determined to hang like a spider.
We raised him higher ...
and lower ...
and offered him a stunt double because things got kinda risky.
Although Little Froggy tried his best to perform well, it just wasn't a good day.
We were all a little discouraged and little froggy decided he needed a break. He lay on the carpet and bingo, this was the shot I was looking for. Simplicity won.
