The perfect beach colour - Hutch painted in Loyalist Homestead House Milk Paint

Hutch painted in Homestead House Milk Paint in Loyalist and Champlain.

I have to admit, having my own shop certainly has it's advantages. I have the opportunity to play with more milk paint colours than you can imagine! I know I always say how much I love each colour that I paint with, but I do. They are not always colours I would choose for my own home, but the colours available in both Homestead House and Miss Mustard Seed's milk paint are absolutely amazing.

My own personal taste falls somewhere between shabby chic and beachy. Homestead House milk paint in Loyalist and Champlain are the perfect combination for that look.

I recently painted this hutch to use as a display case for my Homestead House Milk Paint. I tried to take a few photos of it where it stands in my shop ... but I was disappointed.

This sweet little hutch needed white plank walls as a background, so I wheeled her on over. Gotta love furniture with wheels on it!

I topcoated the hutch in Miss Mustard Seed's Hemp Oil.

I added glass knobs which made her perfectly pretty.

And of course, the before and after photos. I certainly liked this hutch prior to painting it. But, I just liked it. You know, it was okay. But, with a little milk paint magic, I love it. I absolutely love it!
