Today is the worldwide launch of Jennylyn's Tons for Tots. I think it's amazing that Homestead House Paint Company (which is Canadian by the way!) is always stepping up to the plate and staying on top of colour trends. Jennylyn, the creator of Fusion Mineral Paint, is one of the hardest working gals I know. I can't help but wonder if Jennylyn's baby, Taylor, was the inspiration for the new collection.
I have lots of photos to share with you, but I promise I won't talk too much!
Above is the before shot. I don't even remember where I got this chair from, but dumpster diving is certainly a possibility!
I painted this little chair in Little Whale. Somehow the saying from trash to treasure comes to mind.
Before I painted all of the chairs, I have them a quick, light sanding to either remove loose paint or to knock down the shine on the ones that had varnish on them.
This is the same chair, but staged a little more girly. Who says blue is for boys? I usually take lots of photos with a variety of props and then choose my favourite, but I liked both.
The before of course ...
And the after. From drab to fab! I painted this one in Little Piggy.
Although this little chair was wood, it had some type of coating on it (sorta plastic-like). To ensure the paint would stick well, I gave it a quick coat of Fusion Ultra Grip first and it worked like a charm.
This is one of my favourite photos! The colour is Little Teapot and it's so beautiful.
This chair looks like it was homemade. That's cool, but the colour had to go!
Nothing like a fresh coat of paint in Little Lamb.
And another photo so you can see how darn cute the little tester sizes of paint are. They are perfect for small projects!
Sorry, no before photo for Little Speckled Frog. Apparently I forgot. Or lost it?
This sweet little chair was painted by Jennylyn in the colour Little Stork. I only had five chairs and I needed seven. She had two kicking around, so she painted and shipped them to me. (Along with three dressers that she painted as well). Imagine my excitement when a transport truck dropped off a pallet of painted stuff at my doorstep!
This was also painted by Jennylyn. Little Star is an amazing yellow!
Pulling off the painting and photography in limited time was really an amazing team effort!
It's much easier (and way more impressive) to see the before and afters side by side.
I sure hope you all enjoy seeing before and after photos because there are more to come.
