I love anything that is farmhouse style! Signs are very popular right now and in particular, "farmhouse style" signs are all over Pinterest and Instagram and I have been drooling over them! So, Karen and I decided that should be our next workshop!
We are thrilled to be going to Hurkett to share our love of Miss Mustard Seed's Milk Paint to the folks in that community. So if you live in the area of Hurkett, please join us for a fun afternoon workshop on Saturday, April 8. Of course, we are also offering two workshops here at my shop. The dates for those are Wednesday, March 22 and Sunday, March 26.
The signs and the words are made of raw wood and by layering colours of milk paint and using distressing techniques, we are going to make new wood look old!
I love how the wood words add dimension to the signs! Unfortunately it is a little difficult to see that in a straight on photo.
The sign measures 21 1/2" x 10 1/2". It is 1 1/2" wide so it can hang on a wall or it can stand on it's own. It would be a perfect addition to a mantle or a shelf!
We have five wonderful words to choose from: farmhouse, family ...
We wanted to keep with the typical farmhouse style by painting a white sign with a black word or a black sign with a white word, but we have had requests for other colours. So, if you attend one of the workshops here in my shop, we will let you choose other milk paint colours if you prefer. For the Hurkett workshop, we are going to stick with the black and white themes because the group is much larger and hauling so many colours would not be very practical. I think my truck is going to be pretty full as it is!
Pre-registration is required for the workshops. You can register and read all the nitty gritty details on my workshop page. Just press the magic button below.
