This Giveaway is over, but you can still enjoy some beautiful colour combinations with Fusion Mineral Paint.
Sharon M. from Thunder Bay, Ontario is the winner of our Giveaway #7! Sharon is sisters with Liz M. who won our Giveaway #3. What are the chances of that? I think the sisters are going to be having a painting party!
To distress or not to distress? That was the question. And many of you answered! It would seem most of you like the distressed look and many of you said it depends on the piece.
I think Anne Kohut really nailed it when she said:
"Depends on the piece. Some just need to look like they've been through a lot. Others need a new look. I let each piece tell me what it wants."
Anne, I think you are a furniture whisperer and it's a grand idea to let each piece talk to you!
TODAY'S GIVEAWAY #9 IS:
The same as yesterday!
A $50 gift card that can be used towards any type of paint or products - Fusion Mineral Paint, Miss Mustard Seed's Milk Paint or Homestead House Milk Paint. If the winner cannot visit my shop and uses the gift card on-line, their order will have free shipping so that the $50 is for paint.
If you want the next giveaway post sent to you by email, you can subscribe to my mailing list which is located in the side bar on the right side of this page.
I've written quite a few blog posts in a row and I am running out of words to describe beautiful colours! I have only written eight blog posts in a row and I will tell you, my admiration for bloggers who write daily has increased tenfold. I have no idea how they do it, but my best guess is that they are much better at time management than I am.
Here are the colour names, starting at the top: Soapstone, Heirloom, Homestead Blue, Raw Silk and Inglenook.
Yummy colours for sure!
As I take photos, I fall more and more in love with some colours! The green is Inglenook which is the colour of the buffet table I shared with you yesterday. I love how it looks with Raw Silk. Raw Silk is a warm old white with barely a hint of yellow and just a touch of grey. It really is the perfect off-white.
I would love to paint a hutch with these two colours. I would use Inglenook on the outside and Raw Silk on the inside. Or maybe the other way around. Either way, she would be sweet!
This gorgeous buffet table was painted in Soapstone. My friend, Jennylyn, painted and photographed it. Jennylyn is the creator of Fusion Mineral Paint.

Did you know that Homestead House Paint Company makes Fusion Mineral Paint, Miss Mustard Seed's Milk paint and their original line of milk paint - Homestead House Milk Paint? Homestead House has been making paint since the 1980's and they know paint!
As a retailer, it was important to me to sell a band of paint that I believed in and I knew that Homestead House was the perfect match for my little shop. It's made Canada, it's eco-friendly and their selection of colours is nothing short of spectacular. The odd time I make a really great decision and going with Homestead House Paint company was one of those times.
If you watch this video you will see how Homestead House employs people and not machines. I love that concept!
