Can you see me smiling? Well I am! I absolutely love when I receive e-mails from customers who want to share their painted projects with me!
This sign is by Wendy Aaltomaa from Kaministiqua. Wendy is a graphic designer (can't you tell?) and she designed the wording on the sign. She painted up a salvaged board with milk paint and used Fusion transfer gel to apply the words. I am keeping my fingers crossed that I can barter with Wendy and she will make me a custom sign "My Painted Door, Est. 2014"! Thanks Wendy for sharing yet another amazing project!
The Graphics Fairy is an amazing source for free images that are suitable to transfer onto painted surfaces.
These photos made me gasp! Several months ago I had a milk paint demo night and a lovely lady, Donna MacIntyre from Thunder Bay, attended. At the end of the demo, Donna purchased paint for her kitchen cabinets. Donna and her equally wonderful sister, Karen Charles (who is a friend of mine), were going to try milk paint for the first time ever and these gals apparently jumped right in with both feet. This was their first milk paint project!
You ready for the after picure? Yup, the gals got 'er done!
Donna chose Miss Mustard Seed's luckett's green and it was the perfect colour for her kitchen! She even painted up a little mason jar for her countertop. How cute is that?
Donna updated the hardware and called it a day!
For about $100 in paint, Donna created a whole new look for her kitchen. Hmm. $10,000 for new cabinets vs. $100 for paint supplies. Really? And these cabinets are unique and have tons of character!
Thank you so much Donna and Karen for sharing this amazing project. After undertaking something this big, I have no doubt you gals are unstoppable and can paint anything!
Just one more thing. I have just added more colours of Homestead House milk paint to my shop and now you have 28 wonderful colours to choose from. If you love Miss Mustard Seed's paint, you are going to love Homestead House paint! Both lines of paint are made by Homestead House Paint Company. They are Canadian and quite frankly, their paint rocks!!
