I’m moving (and in love!)

Country Chic Paint

There are some huge changes happening with both my business and personal life! I’m talking HUGE!

I am very excited about starting a new adventure and I wanted to share it with you. I’m going to get a bit personal and I hope you’re good with that! Normally I am a private person, but I have made so many friends through this crazy paint business and I wanted to share my story with you.

You know the saying “don’t mix business with pleasure”? Well, I am a bit of a rebel and I mixed the two and the result was …

Quite some time ago I shipped some paint orders to a gentleman, Ralph, who lives in British Columbia. We developed an online friendship which eventually lead to romance. Crazy huh?

Not only did I fall head over hills in love with him, I also fell in love with Vancouver Island (and his little dog, Sally, too).

Hence the huge changes in my life! At the end of June I am moving to Sooke, British Columbia.

I must admit, I am an emotional wreck right now. Although I am very excited about moving, I am also a little heartbroken. I have made so many friends through my little paint shop and I will miss each and every one of you. Thank you for the all the laughter we have shared over the years.

This weekend is my last weekend in Kakabeka Falls at my beloved General Store. It has been both my home and my shop for the past 7 years and it has served me well.

On Friday, June 14th my paint will be available at Valley Foods, 4591 Oliver Road, Murillo, Ontario. I have a cozy little corner there and will continue to offer both Country Chic Paint and Fusion Mineral Paint. My friend, Karen, will continue to make sure everything runs smooth at the new Murillo location.

Next Friday and Saturday, June 14th and 15th I will be hosting a special event at Valley Foods. Please watch for more details on my facebook page.

I will continue to ship online orders and there will be no delays in shipping.

For now I will continue to ship paint from Ontario and in early July, orders will ship from British Columbia.

Fusion Mineral Paint, Miss Mustard Seed’s Milk Paint and Homestead House Milk Paint will continue to be available online. My brick and mortar shop also carries Country Chic Paint and I will make it a top priority to have it available to my online painting pals as well. I know you will love it!

and more about Ralph!

I just couldn’t resist …

Ralph is truly perfect for me. I have never met anyone who can make me laugh so hard!

He is a wonderful cook and I may have some issues in that department.

My recent attempt to make a grilled cheese sandwich. I may or may not have done this on purpose so that I never have to cook for us. Just saying.

Succulents in my home.

Succulents in his home. I think he can teach me a trick or two.

We even share a love of chocolate! One jar, one spoon and one empty Gelato. We polished it off in about 20 minutes.

Did I mention Ralph orders paint from me? I’m hoping that he will paint a few more projects that I can share on my blog with you. (hint hint dear Ralph. haha)

I’d love to hear about your adventures too! Please comment and let me know what you are up to!

Getting married?
Painting a new project?
Having a baby?

Talk soon!
