I am so excited to share our upcoming Miss Mustard Seed's Milk Paint Workshops with you. We have chosen two farmhouse style projects that we think you will love!
I know some of you follow my blog and live too far away to attend a workshop. So, I will be doing some quick how-to tutorials on these projects soon.
Karen and I came up with the ideas for the workshops, but I cannot take any credit whatsoever for the painting. Karen spent many hours painting these projects. Karen is the wonderful gal who will be teaching these workshops. Of course, I will be kicking around the shop and interrupting her workshops with my silly jokes and enthusiasm. hehe. Did I mention that Karen has threatened to ban me from the workshop area for my never-ending interruptions? She has now limited my socializing to greeting everyone as they arrive and coffee break time.
Karen and I are like two peas in a pod and I enjoy every single minute that she is hanging out in my shop!
Our first workshop is this huge Farmhouse Chalkboard.
Again, I cannot take any credit for this amazing chalk design! Ugh. I thought Karen should write the words "milk paint workshops" on the chalkboard and I had no other suggestions or design ideas for Karen. 20 minutes later, Karen had 'er done. I love how the yellow chalk looks like paint dripping off the brush!
Karen also hand wrote this design!
Well, she "cheated" a wee bit.
On both chalkboards she used Miss Mustard's Seed's Milk Paint stencils to add some additional charm. We decided to put a twist on traditional stenciling with paint and use chalk and stencils to pretty up our boards.
These are the wonderful stencil designs that we will be playing with at the workshops.
Our second workshop is this adorable Farmhouse Stool.
In both workshops, Karen will be showing you how to layer colours and distress milk paint to create this farmhouse look.
And the best part is ... you can paint your stool any colour of Miss Mustard Seed's Milk Paint. There are 24 colours to choose from!
