I have some exciting news to share with you. I am now shipping orders south of the Canadian border to my American neighbours. I have had many requests to ship into the U.S. and I have decided to do it! Actually, I will also ship to Alaska (which is north of me). Imagine, a U.S. state that is actually colder than where I live. But at least Alaska has a good reason for being so cold - polar bears! There is no practical reason whatsoever for it to be so cold where I live (no polar bears here). The last week we've been in a deep freeze here with temperatures of -45 ℃ (-49℉). Good time to stay inside and paint!
All the products I sell are safe to ship in this cold weather. Even the Fusion mineral paint is good to go.
The U.S. dollar is stronger than the Canadian dollar, which means a pretty sweet deal for Americans ordering from Canada. There are no hidden fees, no duty and no taxes. Your parcel will arrive and you just open 'er up and start painting!
My website pricing is in Canadian dollars but you can simply use this currency converter if you want to see the final price in U.S. dollars.
As of right this second, $100 Canadian converts to $84.60 U.S.
Shipping into the U.S. is a flat rate of $20 and my Canadian flat rate will continue to be $12.
On with the program ...
My helper, Gillian, and I have been painting for several days and I am seeing stars. Literally seeing stars. We painted over 400 stars in 36 colours. Yes, you read that right - over 400 stars! When I say we "painted", I really meant to say we mixed the paint, put on two coats, sanded and hemp oiled 400 stars. I'm not gonna lie, if I never see another star in my entire life, I would be good with that. Some exceptions apply. If I see a star like George Clooney, I would be good with that. Brad Pitt too. Oh, and Matt Damon. Is it just me or are those guys handsome?
Isn't this a great pink? She's called Texas rose.
Now the real fun begins. The photography. I am going to be playing around with the stars and I'll see what I come up with. I have some ideas, but I would imagine they will change and then change again.
I'll let you know as soon as I'm done and you can see all 36 colours of Homestead House milk paint. I am excited to share all the great colours with you. I sure hope you are excited too, because I would hate to think we painted all those stars for nothing. wink. wink.
