It's been a whirlwind of activity here at my shop. Last weekend I had my Second Annual Vintage Market. The turnout was amazing and I'd like to thank all of you who attended.
A special thank you to my sister, Sheila, who flew all the way from Ile des Chenes, Manitoba to hang out. Also hugs and kisses to Steve and Julie from the Metropolitan Moose for their great eats and treats! Not only did they have great food available for the crowd, but they fed me and the crew for 2 days. And a huge thank you to two very special ladies, Karen and Penny. They worked unbelievably hard over the course of several days. You are real troopers! Also thank you to Susan and Gillian for making sure things ran smooth.
Two days before my market, a pallet of paint arrived. I re-stocked my shelves, drooled over the 13 new Fusion Mineral Paint colours and then had to hide them in my back 40 until they were "officially" released.
But the time has come and I can finally share the new colours with you!
These beautiful colours made their debut this weekend at the Toronto Home Show and they were a huge hit.
I don't have any painted furniture to show off the new colours yet, but I did manage to take photos of the bottles. Does that count? I am working on some new photo collages to showcase these colours and I will share them as soon as I can.
Enough chatter ... here they are!
Tuscan Orange ▪ A rustic orange - red, inspired by the uniquely coloured brick found in Tuscany and the beautiful Italian landscape.
Midnight Blue ▪ This on trend rich dark blue on the edge of black is bound to make a statement and enrich any piece.
Cranberry ▪ A natural luscious burgundy red reminiscent of cranberries. A true statement colour.
Plaster ▪ A generously soft sand, not too white, not quite beige. A beautiful neutral for anywhere in your home.
Bayberry ▪ A deep muted olive green, vintage in nature. Stunning on its own or accompanied.
Raw Silk ▪ A warm old white with barely a hint of yellow and just a touch of grey. The colour of newly formed silk - the perfect off white.
Mustard ▪ Warm and golden, this muddy yellow adds depth and personality to any piece.
Putty ▪ A sophisticated neutral that blends beige and grey and grounds any colour scheme.
Azure ▪ Like the rich tones of a vintage piece of jewelry, this colour is bold, yet refined
Lichen ▪ Drawn from nature, this grey-green is soft, subtle and soothing
Park Bench ▪ A deep rich, historic green inspired by the classic park perch.
Coral ▪ Sunny and happy this flirty tone will make you smile.
Brook ▪ Dip your toes into this refreshing watery blue-green.
You know the saying "out with the old and in with the new"? Fusion Mineral paint is saying goodbye to four of the original Fusion colours.
I am very sad that Upper Canada Green is being discontinued. I love the colour and this photo collage was one of my absolute favorites. I love my little broken broom! I think I'm going to have to use my broom in another collage. Don't you think?
These four colours are still available in my shop and on-line, but stock is limited. Once my stock is gone ... it's officially goodbye!
